The Zodiac || Story

This is the story about the emergence of consciousness in the Zodiac. I explore why zodiac signs come in their specific order and how the energy transforms from one sign to the other. It is known that where the Universe ends it also begins, in the same way, Pisces might be the end of the Zodiac but it is also an overtire for its first archetype, the Aries. This story first came to me in 2016 while I was listening to John Frusciante - Wayne in my bedroom in Zagreb. For full experience you can play this song while reading.

In the beginning,

the Spirit was roaming around, not knowing where it goes, yet with a simple and deep desire to move. For this purpose, it took the shape of the Aries. With mighty horns, it breaks through the obstacles, and with the determination of the Ram, it pushes further and further into every part of the world. There is nothing there to stop it.

With time, the Spirit calms down and decides to stay in one place. Its horns now serve for defense while its build slowly takes the shape of an immovable and sensual Bull. The Spirit transforms into the Taurus. Most of its days it spends relaxing and guarding what it deeply cherishes, dedicated to improving all that stands on the territory its heart touches.

Despite love it feels for everything it now calls its own, the Spirit gets bored and starts craving company. The two Taurean horns that served as both tools and weapons transform into two minds. That is how the Gemini comes into existence. In this form the Spirit now studies and learns about the world, quickly moving around led by newfound curiosity, in an endless conversation with the Universe.

After extensive exploration of the environment, the Spirit is ready to dive deeper within. Two conversing minds transform into two grasping claws that help the Spirit ground itself while feeling the strong currents of the inner ocean. Sensitive to changes and protective of all in its memory, the Cancer welcomes all with good intentions to its abode. Will to explore is now will to build a community.

After some time spend in sacred solitude, Spirit’s heart becomes restless; it wants to share the love it found within with the whole world. A beautiful mane shows up around its head to honor the glory of life, and dangerous claws grow on its paws to defend all that is good in the world. In the form of the mighty Leo, the spirit now travels across the open fields, roaring with unbridled passion to express and spread the message of generosity and strength to all corners of the world.

While traveling, the Spirit realizes it has to first make place for love to come, so it decides to clean the world and prepare it for a higher level of consciousness. For this mission, it turns into a beautiful maiden that loves to analyze and meticulously pluck everything that doesn’t belong in the orderly vision of the world. With every step, in the form of the Virgo, the Spirit plants the seeds of love and grace.

But the walk towards higher consciousness is slow and the world is infinite. For this reason, the Spirit transforms into the Scales that can in an instant understand what is missing and expertly weigh in on any decision. In the form of the Libra, Spirit keeps the well-being of everything in existence on its mind at all times, while retaining the ability to instill balance, beauty, and justice wherever it deems necessary.

Fed up stabilizing the world the Spirit goes into the hunt for intensity. Two scales transform into pincers capable of both war and love. It also grows a stinger so it can easily penetrate the deep secrets of both the psyche and the cosmos. The Spirit transforms into the Scorpion that constantly grows and changes, each time regenerating its scaly armor while exposing a beautiful vulnerability that heals the entire world.

After going deep into the core of the individual experience, the Spirit now wants to expand its view. It chose the form of the Archer. The pincers transform into the bow that is strung by an open mind, and the stinger multiplies into countless arrows crafted specifically to shoot ideas and eternal wisdom from the sky. The Sagittarius travels across all the worlds in existence - imagination is the only boundary it knows.

All the novelty and adventures made the Spirit tired. Now, in search of some solitude to think, it turns into the Sea Goat capable of climbing far up into the mountains in search of enlightenment and freedom. From up there, it sees the true structure of the world, and with it, exactly what the world needs. Desire to leave a strong legacy and have a positive impact makes the Capricorn use this knowledge with great determination and righteous intentions.

Up in the mountains, the Spirit got lonely, and now it descends with intention to connect. Tall goat horns become cups in which knowledge is stored, and sturdy legs turn into the aethereal form that spread wisdom everywhere. In the form of Aquarius, the Spirit builds vast networks of ideas and creatures so that progress can enter every pore of the world. Suddenly, there is no longer a center, everything and everyone is now equally important and an infinite universe on its own.

In the glory of unity, the feelings of separation dissolve and the Spirit now transforms into Pisces that can swim through the very fabric of time and space. The Spirit realizes it is all a dream, but nevertheless, it decides to continue dreaming, flying, and diving through and into all the lights of consciousness. All the Spirit sees and has seen, all it is and has been is One and the same, moving for the sake of moving, and loving for the sake of existing.
